Tournament

Saturday 1st August – Saturday 22nd August

Club Days for Social Tennis

Social doubles will be played on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (except when there are home matches during the league season April – June) evenings from 5.30pm, and Saturday afternoons from 2pm.  The beauty of the club days is that members do not need to arrange with someone else to play – they just turn up.  This ensures that everybody gets their turn to play and mix in.  Club days are an ideal way to get to know other members and are very sociable.  All members must remember to bring tennis balls in decent condition!

Singles Ladder

The club is operating a Singles Ladder so that members have the opportunity to compete and play regular singles.

Team Tennis

As usual the club will be fielding two ladies teams and two men’s teams in the East of Scotland doubles leagues, and matches start third week in April for 10 weeks.  A list of home matches will be posted on the notice board & website so please check availability as courts will not be available after 5.30pm on these dates.

New players are very welcome – if interested, please contact the team captains and come to team practice (Ladies – Sundays at 11am – 1pm, Men – Saturdays at 10am – 1pm)

Other Club Times

Juniors have priority on court two at the following times:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 3.30 - 5.30pm. During the school holidays, junior priority will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am- 12noon.  They may use the courts at other times if adult members are not waiting to use the courts.

Free Court time/Arranged Play

At all other times arranged play is possible.  When others are waiting, you may play one set, come off and wait in turn to play again.  Common sense and consideration will avoid most problems during free court time.

There will be no play prior to 9am on weekdays and Saturdays, and 10am on Sundays.

Clubhouse

The club has employed a cleaner for the season, however members are still responsible for taking care of the clubhouse and courts.

Wimbledon Tickets

The club will receive a number of tickets allocated by the SLTA, which will be available for members to purchase.  A list of these will be put on the notice board and members should apply.  A ballot will be performed to allocate these tickets.

General Information

Tennis balls can be purchased at the club – contact a committee member – see website for details (price to be confirmed).

No Smoking is permitted in the clubhouse or club grounds.

Visitors must sign the visitor's book.  Only one visitor will be permitted per member per visit.  The same person may visit at maximum of four times per season. (£2 per visit).

Members are expected to behave with due regard and show consideration to other members and neighbors of the tennis club.
